Presbyterian Women

The membership of the St. Paul Presbyterian Women is divided into two meeting groups or “circles”. Both circles meet in the morning of the first Tuesday of each month. The meetings offer our women a time to study God's word, worship and fellowship together.  The Circles’ curriculum for 2012-2013 is " Dispatches to God's Household - The General Epistles by author Nancy Benson-Nicol.

In addition to the monthly meetings, all members are invited to meet together at three yearly "Gatherings". The September Gathering starts off our new season. In December a Christmas program is held. In May we celebrate our "Birthday Dinner". Special programs are presented at the Gatherings, with time for fellowship and refreshments.

In 2006, St. Paul women made Chrismons for the Chrismon tree, to replace those destroyed by fire in the sanctuary. The Women have also provided Easter and Christmas treats for the children and helped with a community Easter Egg Hunt and Fall Festival held at St. Paul.  P.W. also help with congregational covered dish dinners for various occasions, as well as other needs that arise.

Another ministry of  the St. Paul P.W. is the preparation and serving of meals to bereaved families of our church. The meals are served at the church or in the home, as desired by each individual family, usually following the funeral or memorial service.

 Wheel of Prayer

St. Paul's Wheel of Prayer was started by the Women’s group and continues as a vital communication tool within our church. Prayer requests may be called to Janice Woods, or emailed to Pam Houglan. Please contact Pam if you would like to be added to the Wheel of Prayer participants list.

Through the Least Coin Offering, Birthday Offering, Thanksgiving Offering and other donations and gifts, St. Paul Presbyterian Women contribute to:

In 2006, P.W. almost single-handedly supplied the kitchen as well as other items for the new Joseph's House which houses boys who have aged out of foster care but are still in school. The group is still assisting Joseph's House with food and other donations to meet the needs of the House and graduating residents. Their support continues every year and is coordinated by Carol Parke.
